How do I change my user ID?

You can change your Private Passport ID to one you prefer on the Change ID page. If your ID is currently your Social Security Number, you may want to change it for privacy reasons. Your new ID must be between 6 and 15 characters. It can be any combination of letters and/or numbers. If you like, Private Passport can suggest IDs for you.

As always, please keep your ID and password private and secure.

To change your ID:

  1. Under Financial Summary in the top menu, select Account Services.
  2. On the Account Services page, click the link to change your user ID.
  3. Your current ID is displayed on the page. Enter a new ID. You can click the Suggest IDs link to choose an ID suggested by Private Passport.
  4. Enter the password to use with your new ID. The password you enter here will be used with your new ID. It may or may not be the same as your existing password.
  5. Click Continue. The Verify Changing Your ID page appears.
  6. Click Submit to change your ID.

    This ends your Private Passport session. The sign on page appears for you to sign on again if you like. To sign on again, use your new ID and the password you entered for that ID.
