How do I find a specific transaction?

Normally on the History - Transactions page, all transactions appear within the selected date range, but you can find a specific transaction by entering the reference number. In addition, you can use additional criteria to find transactions. You can change the date range, type of transaction, and/or amount to display only the transactions you are looking for. You can choose to display transactions for a single account or within all of your accounts. For example, you could display all of the deposits in all of your accounts year-to-date.

To narrow the search for transactions:

  1. On the History page, select an account from the drop-down menu or select All.

  2. To filter by date, enter (or use the calendar to select) the first and last dates for which to display account activity.

  3. To display transactions of a specific type, select a transaction type from the Type drop-down menu.

Different types of accounts allow different types of transactions. For example, you may have ATM, checks, and bill payments for a checking account, and for a Northern Funds account, you might have purchases and redemptions.

  4. To display transactions of a specific amount, select Equal to, Less than, or Greater than, then enter a dollar amount. Enter dollars, or dollars and cents using the format 0 or 0.00. To view transactions of any amount, leave All selected.
  5. Select any other filters, then click OK. The account history appears below your selections.
