Can I allow other people to access my accounts?

There are two ways you can allow others to access your account information using Private Passport:

  • If the other person is your spouse or if you are a custodian, you can complete the Private Passport Limited Power of Attorney Form. The other person may then view your accounts together with his or her own in Private Passport. For example, with this type of access, your spouse can include your accounts on his or her Financial Summary.

  • If the other person is a financial advisor, he or she can view your account information in Private Passport for the purpose of assisting you with financial decisions and reporting. You can complete the Advisor Access form to authorize another person, such as a financial consultant or accountant, to view information for the accounts you specify. The advisor may also be authorized to view other clients' information, but can view one client's information at a time. For more information, see How does Advisor Access work?.

Forms are available on the Account Services page, as well as on www.northerntrust.com/privatepassport, or by contacting the Private Passport Help Center at 888-635-5350.
