When is account data updated?

The time of day at which data is updated depends on the type of account.

Account type When data is updated
Banking deposit accounts

The current balance is updated throughout each business day. Information is refreshed every time you go to the Financial Summary page.

Transaction information from the previous business day is available on the History - Transactions page typically by 7:30 a.m. each day.

Loan accounts Data is typically updated by 6 a.m. each business day with balances as of the close of the prior business day.
brokerage accounts

On the Financial Summary and asset reports, brokerage data is typically updated by 6 a.m. each business day with balances as of the close of the previous business day, and not including unsettled trades.

The Online Brokerage site provides trade date or real-time balances and positions, which are updated for deposits, withdrawals, and securities transactions. It also provides previous day or intraday balances and holdings.

All other investment accounts Data is typically updated by 6 a.m. each business day with balances as of the close of the prior business day.
Online accounts added using Passportfolio® Passportfolio® account information is updated nightly for the prior business day. For the most current information from your service providers, you can click the Refresh button on the Financial Summary.
Non-Northern Trust assets and liabilities added manually For assets or liabilities you manually added to Private Passport using Other Assets and Liabilities or Portfolio Holdings, you can update the balance manually on the Edit Other Asset/Liability page.

If you have entered holdings for an asset, stock and mutual fund data is updated nightly using end of day market prices. You can also refresh the prices with 20-minute delayed quotes or the  Other Asset/Liability Detail page.
