Folder Options
Folder Options allows you to create up to 10 custom folders using the Add, Delete or Rename functions. These options allow you to create and maintain custom folders for your specific needs. For example, if you want to maintain a folder for one specific asset, you can create a new folder and add a filter to limit the messages displayed to only the desired Security ID.
Guidelines:

There are three folder options available from the Folder menu.

  1. Rename
  2. Delete
  3. Add
Notes:
  • Folder options can only be used with your custom folders; they cannot be used to alter the Northern Trust default folders.
  • When a new folder is created, it contains all active and cancelled CDR messages arranged in order of date sent. You are allowed a total of 10 custom folders.

 

Before You Begin:

On the CDR Main page, Click on an existing folder, select Folder Options.

To add a folder:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Enter a folder name (up to 11 characters).
  3. Click Submit.

To rename a folder:

  1. Click Rename.
  2. From the drop-down list box, select folder.
  3. Enter a new folder name (up to 11 characters).
  4. Click Submit.

To delete a Folder:

  1. Click Delete.
    The Delete dialog box displays.
  2. From the drop-down list box, select folder to delete.
  3. Click Submit.

To define filter criteria for a folder:

  1. Select the folder where you want to filter messages.
  2. From the left menu, click Filter Messages.
    Filter window displays.
  3. From the available columns list, select a filter item.
  4. Click Add.
    Selected criteria displays on the right.
  5. Enter values for specific criteria.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Repeat steps 2 though 6 to add additional filter criteria.
