| Corporate Actions Delivery and Response overview |
|
The Corporate Actions Delivery and Response (CDR) application enables clients and fund managers to receive and respond to corporate action events through Passport. There are three types of messages you can receive in CDR: |
| Instruction | A notification and a request for a decision in relation to a voluntary corporate action. |
| Entitlement | A notification providing information on what actions will be applied to a client's account. |
| Advice | A notification of a corporate action event. This is also known as a pre-advice for global events. |
There are two main windows within CDR:
The Main window displays a listing of all your CDR messages in summary form. Within the Main window, messages are sorted into the following four folders according to their message type and reviewed status:
The Show Detail window displays the detailed information contained in a CDR message. The detail information of a message is sorted into categories and placed into one of eight tabs. The Show Detail window is also where you respond to capital structure offers, response decisions are approved, and where Northern Trust notifies you the corporate action has been executed.
