How do I download asset information?
From an Assets page, you can download information to a comma-separated
value (CSV) file which can be opened in a spreadsheet application.
Only the information listed on the page is downloaded.
To download information:
- On the History page, click Download (on the right of the green bar at the top of the page).
- Your browser may prompt you to open or save the file. Make your selection,
then click OK.
- If you choose to open the file, it will open in your spreadsheet
application.
- If you choose to save the file to your computer, select a location on your
computer, change the file name if you like, then click Save. The file ends in a .csv extension. You
can open this file from your spreadsheet application.
To open the downloaded file:
- Start your spreadsheet application first.
- Open the CSV file from that application's menu (typically the Open option is on the File menu)
- If necessary, browse to the location on your computer where you have saved the file.
Tip: If you don't see the file listed, change the "Files of type" dropdown menu to All Files or Text Files.
- Select the file, then click Open. The file opens in your spreadsheet application.
The date range is shown at the top of the file. Only the information that was originally listed
on the Assets page is downloaded. One asset is listed per row, with
columns for
account number, account name/nickname, asset class, subclass, economic sector, asset name, ticker, shares/PAR/units, Market Price, and Market Value.
