An attribute is a term, defined by the user, assigned to an account. Assigning attributes to accounts is useful when organizing, or grouping, accounts by similarities. For example, you may wish to categorize your accounts by "checking accounts", "savings accounts", and "CDs." In this case, you would assign an attribute of either 'checking account', 'savings account', or 'CD' to your accounts.
