What is the difference between a current balance and an available balance?

The current balance reflects all transactions that have posted to the account at the time it is displayed.  The available balance reflects the amount of money available for a banking transaction, such as a withdrawal.  Available balances reflect funds availability rules for the account type as well available lines of credit associated with the account.
