What is a consolidation?

A consolidation is a grouping of accounts that you can use to report on multiple accounts at once. By default, you will have an 'All Accounts' consolidation in Private Passport, as well as 'Northern Trust Banking', 'Northern Trust Investments', 'Northern Funds', and 'Northern Trust Securities, Inc.' consolidations if you have two or more accounts that fall into the category.  You can then create any number of your own custom consolidations.  A consolidation can be made up of any accounts, regardless of the account type.  Once a consolidation is created, you can view it throughout the site in order to get a consolidated view of your accounts for net worth, holdings, etc.

Use the 'Consolidations' tab on the Manage Accounts page to create and maintain any number of consolidations in order to meet your specific reporting needs.
